Fastest Kid on the Block 2021

Firstly thank you to Sport Whanganui, Athletics Whanganui, the Sports Heritage Trust for hosting this event as part of the Cooks Classic.

Special thanks to our sponsors of the FKOTB this year, Bayleys, Dave at the Splash Centre, Hayden at Mt View and Diane from Cookie Time. Without their support this event would not be possible.

We are now in the 5th year of this event and it continues to grow each year. Winners have included Springvale 2017, Taumarunui, 2018, Western 2019, Eastern in 2020 and our 2021 champions this year are Taumarunui.

Thank you to all the competitors and their families and friends. Everyone represented their neighbourhood proudly on the track but most importantly you looked like you were having fun.

Team photos can be found on the Facebook page along with other photos and results from the night.

We so glad you could all come along and be part of this wonderful community event and the Cooks Classic.

Who will be the fastest neighbourhood next year? Can Taumarunui win it back to back or will it be a Whanganui suburb that comes out on top to win the sheild. Only time will tell. We look forward to seeing you all out in the community next summer.
